Now, Jackson Culp's genre-bending debut album, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SKULL BOY?, is available in vinyl format and features a full-color, gloss cover and full-color label. This is the first time any of Culp's music has been pressed on vinyl, which makes these one hundred copies the coveted first pressings.

Featuring seven songs written, recorded, and produced entirely by Jackson Culp at his personal studio in Louisiana, the album is a sprawling, two-years-in-the-making, behemoth album crafted in Ableton and then mastered on Jackson's found TEAC a-2300s reel-to-reel tape machine. This was a process Culp completed entirely in isolation. The album centers around a mysterious, decaying, once-dangerous figure who wanders into a mythical forest and then enters into an arrangement he does not fully understand. Over twenty-four months, space-age rock and roll, funk and soul grooves, nomadic poetry, eerie vocal melodies, otherworldly synthesizers, classic theatrics, blasting drum beats, and dark, irresistible dreams converged to fully realize the inner workings and complexities of Culp's mind and of his self-coined genre, vampire rock.
